I’ve decided to shut down this blog as in independent site. Some of the content here and all new content will be posted within a blogging category on

I’ve consolidated for a number of reasons:

1. It takes too much time to administer three sites when I can get the same functionality from two.
2. I don’t write here nearly as often as I used to, and what I do write is nowhere near the quality and diversity of my older work.
3. I want to divert as much traffic as possible to my main site..
4. I’ve put too much of me up here. Over time I’ve become too lax and personable here, and I’ve written things that I don’t want to haunt me later.

If you’re a registered member here, then you’re also a registered member at shannonthomas.org. Your same email, username, and password have been inserted into the database for that site. I sincerely hope that frequent visitors of this site will visit me at the other site instead. I look forward to seeing you there.
